That’s so sad. Looks like that tree lived for a very long time, so it’s a shame that it had to be taken down-but that IS the circle of life. Did you get the count its rings?
The tree fell in an ice storm. It was a good sized tree, but I didn’t count the rings. I could go back to the stump and do that.
That looks like quite the process. Do you do that all by yourself or you have a team to help you load the wood? My father used to cut wood when I was younger, but he got too old and now he just gets wood from the neighbors 🙂
I cut some of the wood myself, but with this particular tree a neighbor more skilled with a chainsaw than I did a lot of the work.
